Special Admission Requirements

In order to be admitted to the program, students must have a “Basic Operations Fire Fighter” or “Fire Fighter II” certificate from the Office of the State Fire Marshall (OSFM) (or equivalent).

Job Description

Control and extinguish fires or respond to emergency situations where life, property, or the environment is at risk. Duties may include fire prevention, emergency medical service, hazardous material response, search and rescue, and disaster assistance.
